The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told people not to eat Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal, as it has been infected by Salmonella disease. At least 100 people on 33 states are infected by Salmonella disease in June, and it is closely related with Honey Smacks cereal. Kellogg’s reclaimed Honey Smacks cereal after it was related with Salmonella outbreak in June. However, it was found out that there are still Honey Smacks cereals in the market.

Salmonella infection that is known as Salmonellosis is a common bacterial disease, which affects the intestinal tract. It usually stays in the animal’s intestines. Humans become infected by Salmonella viruses mostly through polluted water. It can cause a headache, vomiting, and diarrhea.

The CDC that is known as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found Salmonella virus in Honey Smacks cereal and told customers they should not eat all Honey Smacks cereal, tweeting "Do not eat this cereal". They advised people to stop eating the cereal and throw it away, without considering its package size or expiration date. They also asked tradesmen to stop selling and serving all Honey Smacks cereals to customers. They also advised that a container where Honey Smacks cereal was stored without packaging should be washed with water before using it again.
