Have you ever seen or heard about aerobic contest? Aerobic contest is unfamiliar to students. However, it is well known to Seo Girls Middle School students as a huge event. Aerobic contest started in 1994. It has been operating for twenty-four years in this school. In this event, the whole school participates, and it is held in Hoban Plaza. In the aerobic contest, each grade decides different songs and makes their own dances. The judges will add the total scores and will announce which class wins the prize.

An enrolled student told that before participating in the aerobic contest, she did not like exercising, but after the contest, she liked exercising. In addition, she said that the event is an opportunity to get along with friends easily. Also, during the preparation of the contest, every Wednesday, the third-grade students taught juniors the dances. So, it is a good time to be closer with the students.

Holding this traditional school event, it complex progress. It has been held in Munsu Hoban Plaza, and it progresses annually in April, so each class can develop the spirit of teamwork, and students can approach friends. Moreover, aside from the aerobic contest, there are various activities such as dance performance, and drawing. So, they can enjoy that event more cheerful. However, as they rent the Munsu Hoban Plaza, it is hard to keep order because of many people. Also, all students participate in the contest, so there is compulsoriness.

Though the aerobic contest has disadvantages, students are waiting for the event and preparing hard. Therefore, it seems that while students prepare for the contest, they enjoy the aerobic contest, and it is a good opportunity to make friends.
