Autumn is changing into winter gradually. Many people find something to enjoy autumn before it is gone. There are many ways to enjoy autumn, and especially, visiting some festivals is one of the best ways. In November, the end of autumn, many famous and interesting festivals are held all over South Korea.
Firest, Gapyeong, Chrysanthemum Festival is ongoing in the Garden of Morning Calm. The theme of the exhibition is "Play of Flowers", and it gives many beautiful photo zones. There are also small lakes, pavilions, and stepping-stones. Different shapes, different colors, and different types of chrysanthemums are exhibited, matching with the theme. The scent of chrysanthemums smells great, and large beautiful garden makes visitors feel exciting. Actually, the garden has about 4,500 types of flowers except for chrysanthemum. Moreover, a lot of other events are in the garden, which makes people more attracted. The festival runs through Nov. 24.
Lastly, one of Seoul's representative festivals, Seoul Lantern Festival opened on November 1st. About 3 million visitors come and see the lanterns every year. From Cheonggye Plaza to Supyogyo bridge, about 1.2 kilometer-long strip will light up. Paintings of Korean representative great names are in the lamps, including King Sejong and Yi Sun-Sin. The special event of the festival is the wish papers where visitors can write their wishes and put on a paper boat, and let it float down the stream. The festival continues until November 17th, and the lights-out time is usually 10 p.m.
There are more exciting festivals in November, including Seokchon Lake Fall Foliage Festival, Busan Blaze Festival, and Sokcho lance-fish Festival. Before autumn goes, visiting festivals in November will make people have good experience of autumn.
