Nowadays, K-pop becomes many people's interest. People worldwide love K-pop stars such as BTS, EXO, Blackpink, and TWICE. Among those idol groups, Blackpink became known worldwide who was once called a monster rookie in K-pop idols.

Blackpink is a girl group in YG entertainment. The name, Blackpink, means being pretty is not everything. There are four members in this group namely Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa. First, the main vocalist of Blackpink is Rose. She has a very fascinating voice. Second, the lead vocalist is Jisoo who is the oldest in the group. Third, the main rapper is Jennie. She has excellent rapping skills, and she is also good at singing and dancing. Lastly. the main dancer in the group is the youngest member, Lisa.

Blackpink debuted on August 8th, 2016 with its album, Square One. There is a difference in Blackpink with other groups. They debuted without a leader. Blackpink did not choose a leader because they want to be equal. They debuted with the songs "Whistles" and "Boombayah." Their music video reached 500 million views on YouTube.

There are so many songs sang by Blackpink. Moreover, most of the songs were written by Teddy. They released their debut album, Square One, on August 8th. 2016 with the songs, "Whistle", and "Boombayah." Their second album, Square Two was released on November, 11th, 2017 with the songs, "Playing with Fire" and "Stay." Moreover, on June 15, 2018, they released their first mini-album, Square Up. It consists of the songs, "DDU-DU DDU-DU", and "Forever Young", "Really", and "See You Later." In addition, they made the song, "Kiss and Makeup", with Dua Lipa on October 19th, 2018. Then, they released their latest album, Kill This Love, on April 5th, 2019. The album, Kill This Love, consists of the songs, "Kill This Love", "Kick It", "Hope Not", and "Don't Know What to Do." Lastly, they sang "Sour Candy" with Lady Gaga on May 27th, 2020.

Blackpink acts as a K-pop idol. Moreover, they are loved by their many fans, called Blink. Lots of Blinks said that they love Blackpink not only because of the fact that their group name's meaning is impressive, but also they are very pretty and good at singing, dancing, and rapping. K-pop is a very big culture in South Korea. I am proud of this culture as a Korean. I look forward to more activities in Blackpink.
