The Coronavirus(COVID-19), which first broke out in China in December 2019, and spread around the world, is still an unresolved issue. The number of infected people is increasing not only in Korea but also around the world. As the number of infected people increases, people's interest in vaccines is increasing as well.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the COVID-19 vaccine team, which oversees the Corona 19 vaccine in the United States, has published two theories. The first is that by May next year, 70 percent of the population may have immunity, and the second is that the first vaccination could take place as early as next month. But it remains to be seen whether vaccinations in the U.S. can be done smoothly since there are a lot of people with their own political and personal beliefs, as well as people who are worried about the safety of vaccines. Also, it is impossible to predict whether the vaccine can be done to everyone in Korea as soon as possible.

As reported by Korea Economic News Agency, the group of 20 major economies(G20) announced that they would try to ensure the fair distribution of the Corona 19 vaccine as much as possible. It also said that it will focus on restoring the vulnerable class and the worldwide economy. However, even if the vaccine is developed, it is a completely different matter to be distributed to Korea as soon as possible. Advanced countries such as the U.S. and Europe are known to already have invested large amounts of capital to preoccupy the vaccines being developed by global pharmaceutical companies. Against this backdrop, it is questionable when Korea will be able to distribute vaccines at a reasonable price that everyone can easily afford. Many people are calling for the development of vaccines in Korea due to this problem.

With the development and dissemination of vaccines being undecided, it is important to minimize the number of infections until then. Amid the growing number of collective infections in Korea, the second phase of social distancing is hoping to prevent the spread of COVID-19 even a little. Instead of relying on the possibility of spreading vaccines, social distancing and individual efforts will be much more important in Korea.
