College Scholastic Ability Test is a test that has been introduced in the Korean college entrance examination since the 1994 school year and tests people who are expected to graduate from high school, those who pass the qualification examination, such as people expected to graduate from high school, and others who have the same educational background who have passed the high school graduation examination organized by Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation. It is taken on the third Thursday of November every year.
Students who are scheduled to graduate from high school will be a receipt from the high school they are attending, and those who are from the high school they graduated may be accepted by the Office of Education in the district of their current address if their address and location of their high school differ on the date of application. The questions on the CSAT will consist of examiners and reviewers. The examiners consist of university professors and high school teachers, and all reviewers consist of high school teachers. The first class is Korean, the second class is math, the third class is English, the fourth class is the choice of the student, and the fifth class is a foreign language or Chinese.
Since the 1994 CSAT, there have been a total of four acts of national events and accidents. The 2021 College Scholastic Ability Test was postponed from November 19 to December 3, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea. The number of students who took this examination was the smallest, and the number of repeaters is one-third this year.
CSAT will be taken every year, so they should be prepared for every accident. We do not know what will happen, so, for the next year, we should be careful not to tense students who are in a big test to go for society. Plus, we should work harder so that we can make the path for our children.
