Every year, many cultural events are held. For example, in March, a cherry blossom festival is held at Nam-gu Mugeo stream in Ulsan. The cherry blossom festival is held every March to April. Many tourists visit Mugeo stream and enjoy a lot. There are many things to do for tourists. We can see many people who take pictures with flowers. However, because of COVID-19, it is hard to have cherry blossom festival this year.

In 2008, Mam-gu completed the construction of a natural stream in April. Then, the first cherry blossom festival was held to create a tourist attraction where people could enjoy cherry blossoms in the city's center in 2009. This festival is called Gunggeorang Cherry Blossom Festival. Gunggeorang is another name of Mugeo stream, and more than 400 cherry blossom trees can be seen in its 2.5-kilometer long cherry blossom road.

At Gunggeorang Festival, many other events are held such as various performances, exhibitions, experiences, and food booths. Tourists can watch performances and eat many delicious foods. In 2017, the festival was held for two days. It held many concerts such as various performances and the opening ceremony. Guest singer Jang Yoon Jung came to the festival and had a performance in 2017. Food booths, face printing zone, dry flowers zone, food trucks, and Gunggeorang cafes were operated around the venue. It is good that many people can enjoy this cherry blossom festival more because a starlight tunnel is established around the venue, and cherry blossom lights are installed to enjoy the festival even at late hours.

Tourists can see and enjoy many things through the cherry blossom festival when spring is in. People who went to Gunggeorang Cherry Blossom Festival reacted that the night view was so beautiful at night and that it was a great place to take pictures. However, this year, many people feel sad because they cannot go to the cherry blossom festival due to COVID-19. Although the virus is making this hard, I hope it can be held next year.
