It was a warm spring day. People were enjoying their weekends outside a popular bar. Suddenly, a van ran into the people who were drinking. There were people screaming who saw that scene. Then, a loud sound spread into the air. People ran away with a shocked face. They were all screaming with fear.

On April 7, 2018, Saturday, a van crashed into the innocent crowd in front of a popular bar in Muenster, Germany. It took place at 3:27 pm. Two people were killed, and other 20 people were injured by the crash. The man who made the crash killed himself.

The police started the investigation while an ambulance rushed into the site. A top German security official said that there was no indication of an Islamic extremist, and the man who made the crash was a German citizen. This incident was considered as a terrorism. Police investigated about the suspect and the motive. However, there was no clear result who the suspect was and his motive. In addition, the police found a suspicious object in the van, and they examined it to see if it is dangerous or not.

The witness, Daniel Kollenberg, said in BBC news that it was chaotic because were lots of police vehicles and several helicopters. She also mentioned that the people were scared. They believe this kind of thing will not happen in Muenster because Muenster is a secure city. Germans have asserted that they experienced several terrorism in recent years. In December 2016, a truck attacked people in Christmas mart in Berlin, killing 12 people. After that event, German authorities set up road blockades in places where people congregate. However, it is hard to have road blockades in every place where people use.
