A police was recorded choking an African-American man at Waffle house on May 10, 2018. There was an outrage as the video went Viral. Many viewers criticized how the police used violence against the African-American man.

An African American named Wall went to a restaurant named, Waffle house, only to be choked and slammed down to the ground by a white police officer. He has been complaining about customer service when the Waffle house worker called the cops. The white Police Officer then restrained him using violence. He choked and slammed Wall to the pavement. A witness recorded a video and posted it on facebook. It has become viral and African Americans are having an outrage.

Bernice King, the daughter of the slain civil rights leader said that the Waffle house needs to take responsibility for the treatments to customers. She had said on SNS, “Family, let’s stay out of @WaffleHouse until the corporate office legitimately and seriously commits to 1) discussion on racism, 2) employee training, and 3) other plans to change; and until they start to implement the changes”. There have been many more voices and also from the President of the Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Waffle House has responded that the dinner chain is a very welcoming dinner chain. .”Anybody knows who has eaten with us” they said. But critics disagree. There have been many incidents where innocent people being arrested for violence. For example, there was a black woman in Alabama. She was violently arrested after disputing a store’s charge for to-go plastic ware. In a video, police can be seen choking her as well, and her shirt gets ripped off in the fight.
