The quantum tunnel effect is to pass through walls with higher potential energy than the mechanical energy of particles. Nevertheless, this effect shows in the micro-world. This effect is too difficult to see in macro-world. The cause of this effect is an Alpha collapse. Alpha decay is large atoms releasing alpha particles and turning them into stable atoms.
