One year ago, BTS was collaborating with so many artists, such as Charlie Puth, Steve Aoki, Nicki Minaj, and many other Korean musicians. Bts’s success has a strong impact because through their music they educate the world on Korea’s culture.
A few of BTS’s collaboration songs are: ‘Waste it on me’, Mic Drop’, ‘IDOL’, “We don’t talk anymore’, ‘The truth untold’, and ‘Fake Love’. ‘Waste it on me’, ‘The truth untold’, and ‘Mic Drop’ feature EDM producer, Steve Aoki. ‘We don’t talk anymore’ and ‘Fake Love’ are with popstar singer, Charlie Puth, and ‘IDOL’ features Nicki Minaj.
‘Mic Drop’ was a very popular song on the Billboard charts, thanks to first being recognized by the RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA). Because in order for a song to appear on radio in the U.S., a RIAA certificate is required.
‘The truth untold’ was also produced by Steve Aoki. ‘The truth untold’ is on the B-side track of ‘Love yourself: Tear’ album. ‘Love yourself: Tear’ is the second series of ‘Love yourself”, and has many unreleased songs. ‘The truth untold’ also had good success on the music charts.
1 year ago, BTS member Jungkook covered, ‘We don’t talk anymore’, a song written by Charlie Puth. After hearing Jungkook’s cover, Charlie Puth immediately contacted him and discussed working together at MGA(Music Genie Awards). They then performed together, receiving great acclaim.
There are still a lot of American artists who want to do collaborations with BTS. Ed Sheeran wrote a song for the BTS, and he said he wanted to work with them more. Also, Troye sivan said, “I want to work with them, but they are so busy”. And many others are hoping to have a chance too. BTS has achieved many great things in Korea, and now the rest of the world is getting another opportunity to learn and appreciate a different aspect of Korea.
