North Korea is famous for giving no freedom to their people. Usually, most of their people go to prison for terrorism though they only practice religion. North Korea even reached #1 at "Repressing Christians" for 16 years in a row. This is so cruel that people cannot have their choice, which is the worst thing in the world.
It is said that about 8,000 to 12,000 people are in prison, and most of them are in there because they are religious according to the '2018 religious freedom report' of the United States State Department.
Sung tae Kim, who is the director of North Korea of Open Doors, said that most American people went back to their country, but the Korean missionaries didn't.
Pastor Kang said, "North Koreans who came back to their country and did something related to Christianity in China are not forgiven. Then why are they scared of the Church? We can understand this through the people who escaped from North Korea. These people confess first when they change after believing in Jesus. If there are many people who believe in Jesus, this makes the people in North Korea know how bad Kim Il Sung, Kim Jung Il, and Kim Jung Eun are."

When Kim Il Sung was a child, Kim Il Sung's father was a missionary, and his family usually had a meet-up with the pastor in China. He zealously conducted religious activities, and he was even praised because his religion was Christian. However, Kim Il Sung carried forward with communism, which says that religion is a drug, and made North Korea a Communist country, so the North Korean government repressed Christians and destroyed a lot of churches.
What Kim Il Sung did in North Korea has continued for two generations, so that is why North Korea is still repressing religion. However, Pastor Billy Graham's son, Franklin Graham, made an organization, "Samaritans' Wallet," which helps North Korea.
Though North Korea represses religion, Professor Lee, a professor of North Korean Studies, said, "North Korea also think benefits are the best, and they are used to relating Christians with Anti-America to repress them, but the religious affiliations give them support, and it seems that they will use those affiliations for realistic needs."
