In 2017, there was a film about the government killing people because of overpopulation. Also, in 2019, there was a superhero movie that has a villain named Thanos, who insists and tries to kill half of mankind because of overpopulation. Also, nowadays, there are many super viruses that cannot be cured, not only COVID-19 but MERS, are spreading, too. Because of these natural disasters, some say that this is the part of mother nature's self-purification.

We cannot deny the fact that there are too many humans. As that movie implied, we already faced with some terrific problems caused by overpopulation. The destruction of the ozone layer, global warming, indiscriminate development, and continued pollution all stemmed from human activities, and the earth is being devastated by human's ever-increasing demand at this moment. Nature has already suffered from overpopulation for a long time. Mankind also faced with the awful conflicts caused by this overpopulation problem. Overpopulation can lead to food problems, housing problems in the overcrowded area and fierce competition in job markets. We had too many problems due to overpopulation until we reached a level where countries or individuals could not afford to solve it anymore.

At this point, it is inevitable that this conspiracy which suggests mother nature tries to decrease the human population has proposed. This is the fact that human activities that devastate nature are dropped sharply since COVID-19 has spread. Conspiracy theorists say that this virus happens to reduce the population. They say the COVID-19 incident is also part of it. They argue that the fast propagation, the breakdown of the immune system, and the impossible situation of making a cure were all calculated. They also insist that the lack of reproductive capacity after COVID-19 is what nature has done to reduce humanity.

The time has come to rethink the problem of overpopulation: it is not prosperity but disaster.
