There was a fire accident that happened in a warehouse in Icheon on April 29th. The fire was suppressed after five hours. However, many workers who worked in the warehouse died or got injured in this accident. Also, the cause of the fire was not yet found.

The Icheon warehouse fire accident arose on April 29th. After an unidentifiable explosion, the fire started in the second basement and mushroomed upstairs, and it became a conflagration. The workers in that warehouse could not take refuge because the accident happened suddenly and rapidly. Consequently, it resulted in 38 fatalities and ten injuries. The Fire Department Officials that are still investigating the cause of the blaze have estimated that urethane was the major cause of the fire. Based on a survivor's statement, they assume that the oil mist which was formed while urethane work contacted with an unidentified object was the origin of the fire. Also, strong wind and poor fire extinguishing facilities influenced the damage of human life.

The authorities made a request in finding the cause of the fire and a settlement. Uhm Tae Joon, the mayor of Icheon, expressed sorrow for the fire accident and said that he would do his best not to let other accidents to happen through site inspection. Also, he constituted the National Emergency Management Agency that is made up of 11 departments. The medical team installs and manages emergency medical facilities, and the equipment supporting team helps on the searching and restoring the scene.

The Incheon warehouse fire accident that happened on April 29th resulted in a lot of casualties and awakened the consciousness of many people. We all have to be careful at any time and must install and maintain the quality of our safety devices.
